It is really nice. If you have a link to the wiki syntax, it might be fun to copy the quick reference from the doc site: users then get the help inside the same site look & feel, and it has links to the actual doc where needed.

Thanks! I have implemented this on both of my sites but I think the "external link logo" kind of ruins it.
I meant, copy the contents of this page http://www.wikidot.com/doc:quick-reference and paste into a page on your own sites. (Just realized the permissions on www.wikidot.com did not allow that, fixed them.)

Yeah I did, check it out: http://monodot.wikidot.com/syntax
The external link logo that I'm currently using makes it look a bit messy :-(
OoOoOoohhh… External link icon. So that's one of the things that's missing in my lifelong mission to spoof, I mean, to be "inspired by", Wikipedia.
Anyway, you should contain the external links to prevent it from spilling outside, like
You can disable certain things from being affected (like the table in http://monodot.wikidot.com/syntax) by wrapping it in a [[div]] class and negating the declarations.
I put this into the custom theme:
And wrapped the table in
But it doesn't want to work with the table. It's fine if I put it around a link that isn't in a table.
Is there something I'm missing here?
Nope, was wrong; doesn't seem to work at all :-(
Got it working: If there are custom classes then you can't use #page-content to narrow down where the external link icon goes.
ie use #page-content a[href^="http:"], #page-content a[href^="https:"]{…
then .noexternalicon doesn't work
simply use a[href^="http:"], a[href^="https:"]{
then .noexternalicon DOES work.
It would be nice to limit the icon to just the main content so if you can think of a way to do this, please let me know.
Yer doin' it wrong.
It should be
Or just
Ok, cheers :-)
