Terms Of Contest
- The Theme Design Contest ("the Competition") is organized by Wikidot Inc. will run from 8 July, 2009 to 8 August, 2009.
- The Competition is open to all participants except Wikidot Inc. staff, business partners, and their family members.
- Contestants automatically accept these Terms by submitting a theme for the Contest.
- Contestants must submit their themes to http://themes.wikidot.com, including CSS file and correctly linked image files containing their original Wikidot themes.
- For a theme to qualify as a contest submission, Contestant must title it: "Contest: The-name-of-the-theme" and must tag it "contest".
- The current terms of use and guidelines of that website as well as the current Terms of Service of wikidot.com will apply, in addition to these Terms, to all submissions.
- Contestant may submit multiple themes, but one Contestant can win at most one prize.
- Themes previously submitted to themes.wikidot.com may be resubmitted for this contest, by their authors.
- Contestant must be author of all content they submit, or must have proper license from the author of said content to submit the content under these Terms.
- Contestant submits all designs and content under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.
- Themes will be judged by Wikidot Inc. and winners will be announced on http://blog.wikidot.com and http://themes.wikidot.com on 10 11 August 2009. Decisions are final except for submissions that are found thereafter to have infringed on these Terms.
- The criteria used in judging will be the popularity of the theme, the creativity and style, and the CSS correctness of the theme.
- The first prize consists of a Wikidot Pro+ account Gift, plus an Apple Gift Card for $149, equivalent to an iPod Nano 8GB.
- The five runner-up prizes consist of a Wikidot Pro account Gift, with one runner-up per category (blog, business, wiki, etc.).
- The Pro+ and Pro account Gifts are valid for one year and may be used by winner, or transferred to another Wikidot user at winner's request.
- All winners will additionally be prominently listed on http://themes.wikidot.com for a period of no less than 30 days.
- Winners will be notified by email and private message and winners are responsible for contacting Wikidot to receive their prize.
- In case the first prize cannot be used due to regional restrictions, winner will receive an equivalent value by other means.
- Wikidot Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest, submissions, and/or these terms and conditions at our discretion.
